Born in Dominican Republic, Angely Martinez is an award winning jewelry designer and maker based in New York City. Creating conceptual fine jewels that push the boundaries of traditional jewelry, her work is influenced by the beauties of nature and the world of fantasy with a touch of the Baroque and the avant-garde. These are themes that she has been obsessed with since childhood. She's constantly designing and hand-fabricates most of her pieces at her home studio.

She draws inspiration from the Baroque period,  Rococo, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Museum Walks, and films.  Her favorite artists/ designers are Frida Kahlo, Alexander McQueen, Fragonard, Rembrandt, and Erte.

Previously, she worked as a Production Jeweler at WWAKE and was also Junior Goldsmith at Reinstein Ross. She's a participant of Bijules Incubator, a talent development program, where she built her debut collection VERMILLION. In 2020, she co-authored the BIPOC Open Letter along with 30+ jewelers, detailing guidelines and a call-to-action for opportunities to be created for BIPOC Jewelers and Professionals.

Angely graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology's Jewelry Design Program in 2018.  She holds a B.S. in Business Management and Marketing from Long Island University - Brooklyn.
