Born in Dominican Republic, Angely Martinez is an award winning jewelry designer based in New York City. Creating works that are big, bold and out-of-this-world, her work is influenced by the beauties of nature and the world of fantasy with a touch of romanticism and the avant-garde. These are themes that she has been obsessed with since childhood. She's constantly designing and mostly fabricating these days at her home studio. In 2020 alone, she has developed 3 collections.

She draws inspiration from the Baroque period,  Rococo, theater, dance performances, and films.  Her favorite artists/ designers are Frida Kahlo, Alexander McQueen, Fragonard, and Rembrandt.

Currently, she's working as a Production Jeweler at WWAKE and was previously Junior Goldsmith at Reinstein Ross. She's a participant of Bijules Incubator, a talent development program, where she built her debut collection VERMILLION. In 2020, she spearheaded the BIPOC Open Letter along with 30+ jewelers, detailing guidelines for opportunities to be created for BIPOC Jewelers and Professionals.
